Land acknowledgement

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Dharawal Country and recognise the continued connection to the land. We pay respects to Elders, past and present, and the continued contribution they make to the land.

The Aboriginal name for Shellharbour is Yerrowah and Wonwin, meaing meeting place where there were big fish. Shellharbour was named after the shells found in Aboriginal middens along the coast.
